BUILDING MOSTRO. SLAM JAM AND PUMA EXPAND THE CRAFT.

We partnered with local creative duo Steiner & Wolinska for the launch of the new Puma Mostro colorway, Royal.

Disrupting the usual peace of Milanese hotspot Bar Nico was our first move. The goal was to set up a lab for our network of creatives, so they could build a Mostro on their own. Picture blue textured backdrops, neatly arranged tables, and every hobbyist’s essential - A3 gridded cutting mat, blue of course. That made for the stations where everyone began working on their creations.

If one were to dissect the iconic silhouette, the first thing that comes to mind is the spiky sole and that was indeed what everyone focused on at first. But a monster isn’t truly alive until it moves—enter step two: robotics

Every creation got a small motor, batteries, and a switch, thus obtaining a little robot that moved thanks to vibrations. We set up a small arena, so each Mostro could fight or get to know the other. Perhaps some of them were on beat, the event featured a DJ set by Joa too.
