Moncler

( 38 )

The name Moncler comes from the abbreviation of the name of the French Alpine village, Monastier-de-Clermont in which the brand was founded by Réné Ramillion and Andrè Vincent in 1952. The brand was initially dedicated to producing simple functional and protective alpine garments such as tents and down jackets for workers, but mountaineer Lionel Terray soon discovered the performance potential of these products, putting the brand on a new course. Under the guide of Remo Ruffini, from 2003, Moncler has conquered the role of trend-setter as a complete lifestyle brand and iconic collaborations, such as the Genius Project. His vision placed mountain clothing and the outdoor lifestyle as a global and contemporary phenomenon.
